CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  In a CSA program, participating members of the community pay an up-front fee at the beginning of a new season, and each week once the harvest season begins, they enjoy a share of the freshest and healthiest produce we have to offer.  Basically, you are buying a "share" of the year's harvest.  Customers benefit greatly from having convenient access to farm-fresh food, and we farmers benefit with up-front payments so we can purchase seeds and supplies in early spring. CSA programs help to keep local farms alive and healthy and part of our growing community, where they belong.   With  the current threat of corona virus and market outlets closing, this may be the only way to offer our food to the public.   NOTE:  If financial circumstances pose a problem, we will consider a reasonable payment plan.

We are not certified organic but we grow food using organic and sustainable practices:
NO pesticides - NO herbicides - NO hormones

The Advantages of Local Food

Customers, friends, and family have unlimited access to Pheasant Fields Farm for visiting to observe the changing seasons and current farm activities.  We welcome you to visit the farm and cultivate a new relationship with your food.  Renew and deepen your relationship to community and the land we all share.  To discuss a CSA and farm visitation, please contact us online (info@pheasantfields.com) or call 360-697-6224.

Traditional CSA Shares

What Do You Get?

Our CSA season runs every week from beginning May until October 12th.  That means at least twenty two weeks of the tastiest, healthiest produce we have to offer!  We have to rely on Mother Nature to grant us a bountiful harvest, but we are enthusiastic about a bountiful and prosperous year in 2020.  If we have a mild fall, typical now with climate change, i.e. no early freezes, we will share our crops with you at least until October 31st.

Share Sizes

A small share contains an average of 7 items per week and serves one to two modest vegetable eaters who typically cook half their meals at home.  $600.00

A large share contains an average of 13 items per week and serves three to four modest vegetable eaters or two hearty vegetables eaters who enjoy cooking at home.  $950

These two options are the best value we offer for your dollars invested!

Pick up your Food

You may pick up your share each week at the farm by arrangement.  That is the only option available since we do not know this year when the public markets will open.  With the coronavirus threat, we are not subjecting our help to exposure at public markets.  We plan on staggering CSA pick up times and all other sales at our farm will be by appointment to keep risks low.
Central Kitsap Farmers Market Tuesdays from 4 pm-7 pm:  TBA
Poulsbo Farmers Market Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm:  TBA

Nature provides no guarantees - we can't offer any either. But with diversified crops, we expect most will prosper and if one fails, another will fill its place. We are dedicated to being your farmers, working for you to deliver quality and quantity in a responsible manner for your healthy eating and pleasure. We are fortunate to say we have never experienced a situation where we did not have product for our customers throughout our growing season.
